CRC Energy Efficiency Scheme

The CRC Energy Efficiency Scheme (previously known as the Carbon Reduction Commitment) starts to come into force in April 2010.  This is a new, mandatory, energy saving and carbon emissions reduction scheme for the UK.

The scheme will cover both public and private sector organisations, some of whom will save money whilst inaction is likely to result in increased costs.

In order to ensure a good understanding of the scheme and all its legal requirements preparations will need to be made before this implementation date.  It is important for organisations to understand the financial commitment and impact the CRC will have.
