BCM are experienced in modern major residential schemes comprising new build or redevelopment of existing disused buildings.
In all the schemes we have been involved with there has been a significant need for our expertise in infrastructure planning due to the increased loads on the network.
At Lancaster University, the development and rebuilding of a total of 4,000 student residences required careful analysis of the campus electrical load. This ensured that the solutions employed maximised the retention of the existing infrastructure without the need for a costly reinforcement of the network serving the campus or upgrading the on-site CHP installation.
